Factory-Floor Information, Right Where Work Happens

Factory-Floor Information, Right Where Work Happens

Digital Access at the Point of Work

We partnered with one of UAE's prestigious scaffolding company to improve how employees access essential digital information across the factory floor.

The Challenge

In a modern manufacturing environment, production teams need fast access to work instructions,
production information, operational updates and other digital resources without leaving the point of
work. Conventional office PCs or centralized information points can create unnecessary movement and
delays. Our client required a dependable factory-floor solution that could withstand demanding
conditions, remain readable in strong sunlight and provide convenient self-service access at multiple
locations.

Our Solution

After assessing the operational requirement, we proposed a purpose-built industrial kiosk platform with KIOS software. Five kiosks were designed for strategic locations across the manufacturing environment, with rugged
construction and custom branding.

Each kiosk was purpose-built with:

  • 2,500-nit high-brightness touchscreen for excellent visibility, even in bright environments

  • Resistive touch technology for reliable industrial operation

  • Industrial-grade fanless PC for dependable performance in demanding conditions

  • Cloud connectivity for a unified and centrally connected kiosk environment

  • Rugged customized enclosure and corporate branding to match the client's requirements

Business Benefits

  • Faster access at the point of work.
  • Employees gain convenient access to authorized digital resources closer to production activities.
  • Less unnecessary movement. Strategically placed kiosks can reduce trips to office-based or centralized computers.
  • Industrial reliability. Rugged hardware, fanless PCs and industrial input devices are better suited to
manufacturing conditions than conventional office terminals.
  • Visibility where it matters. 2,500-nit displays improve usability in areas affected by intense ambient light and sunlight.
  • Scalable digital foundation. Cloud connectivity creates a unified infrastructure that can support future
    kiosk locations and digital services.

Industrial-Grade Self-Service Kiosks Transform Employee Services

Industrial-Grade Self-Service Kiosks Transform Employee Services

The Challenge

A UAE-based industrial manufacturer with 500+ factory employees faced a high volume of repetitive HR and administration enquiries. Many employees live in a labour camp and rely on fixed company bus schedules, making quick access to information essential.

Employees frequently visited the administration office for details about salaries, bonuses, deductions, advances, annual leave, vacation schedules, labour cards, visas, and passport expiry dates. This created queues, interrupted administrative staff, reduced productive working time, and caused frustration for both employees and management.

The customer needed a simple, reliable self-service solution suitable for a demanding industrial environment.

Our Solution

We proposed a customized Industrial-Grade Employee Self-Service Kiosk, integrated with employee CRM software. Five cloud-connected kiosks were recommended across the company office, factory break and lunch areas, and labour camp, allowing employees to access authorized personal and employment information from convenient locations.

The solution includes:

  • Industrial-grade hardware: Fanless PC, rugged enclosure and industrial keyboard

  • Reliable touchscreen: Resistive touch technology for demanding environments

  • High-brightness display: 1500-nit screens for excellent visibility in strong ambient light

  • Cloud connectivity: Centralized employee information accessible across multiple locations

  • Custom branding: Designed to match the customer’s corporate identity, logo and colours

  • User training: Staff and workers were trained for smooth adoption

Business Benefits

The kiosks bring employee services closer to where employees work, take breaks and live. This reduces routine HR workload, queues and office interruptions while giving employees faster access to information. It also minimizes time away from productive work and helps employees work around fixed bus schedules.

With rugged industrial construction, centralized cloud-based information and a scalable architecture, the solution provides a reliable platform that can expand to additional locations and employee services as requirements grow.
